Being a public art organization, we are dedicated to utilizing the power of art to better the cultural relationship of society.
DAC has developed a module to engage public art participation as a means of social transformation and restructuring of Chinese society, while being aware of the current characteristics, context and history of China. In this reciprocal way, the artist contributes to the cultural invigoration of the society and in return our society provides the platforms, resources and funds to achieve this.
DAC also engages in regional artistic centres and artistic programs aimed at new rural construction, cultural resources protection and public environmental projects. DAC constantly engages with professionals in other fields when needed both as consultants and collaborators, a few examples are urban planning engineers, scientists, folk craftsmen, and local artists.

Art & Society Eco-system Construction Program in Jiulong Peninsula
Jiulongpo district is deemed as the only art & culture area in the Chongqing city region.. Jiulong Peninsula is located in Jiulongpo District, it used to be known as a heavily industrialized area, but with the recent economic transformation there is less reliance on this industry, as a result there are now many idle factories. Sichuan Fine Art Institute, located in this district, produces an enormous number of artistic & cultural talents that graduate to boost development in the creative industry. Chongqing, compared to bigger 1st tier cities has well facilitated transportation, lower living costs and is the perfect setting to nurture artists & artistic organizations.Although, the links between art & culture are disconnected due to the lack of effective professional management. As a result artists are less able to effectively express and exchange expertise, to form a viable commercial art market and to engage in artistic graduate job opportunities. In the midst of this is the networking damage to regional art centres & the waste of culture resources.
To resolve the regional problems mentioned above, we have carefully selected a cohort of artists, regional planning engineers, scientific consultants and industry development experts under invitation by the local government. We are trying to establish a new regional collaborative development mode with local/graduate artists participation and regional funds to bridge social capital and human resources to help artists and artistic organization grow. Inevitably we hope to store up enough talent in regional industry development, to pave a path for the formation of a self sustainable healthy regional artistic ecosystem and to power public cultural development.Meanwhile, we are using art and science in collaboration to preserve industrial heritage buildings whilst offering affordable studio space for artists, designers and craftsmen to work and exchange information, and together to build an accessible, free and artistic environment for regional communities. We are now in the process of structuring funding and establishing guidelines and platforms for these regional collaborative operations.
Bayu Rural Hostel Program Standard Research
The Rural Hostel program is established as one of the key projects of Chongqing by Bayu Hostel Company which is affiliated to Land and Resource Bureau of Chongqing government, aiming to ameliorate the environment and situations of the registered rural families under poverty.
Together with architecture designers from Huayi Design, we have done research in the village and visited the families in poverty for a long time to understand their environment and situations. All the methods and standards have been established successfully for the targeted families to fit in the program, aiming to get them out of poverty.
