\u963f\u5947\u00b7\u7d0d\u4ec0\uff08Archie Nash\uff0c\u751f\u65bc2001\u5e74\uff09\u65bc2024\u5e74\u7562\u696d\u65bc\u5e03\u840a\u9813\u5927\u5b78\u7f8e\u8853\uff08\u7e6a\u756b\uff09\u5c08\u696d\u3002\u4ed6\u4e3b\u8981\u662f\u4e00\u4f4d\u756b\u5bb6\uff0c\u901a\u904e\u5f9e\u5916\u90e8\u89c0\u5bdf\u6587\u5316\uff0c\u6536\u96c6\u5404\u7a2e\u5716\u6a19\u3001\u7269\u9ad4\u548c\u611f\u53d7\uff0c\u7de8\u7e54\u6210\u4e00\u5e45\u5e45\u65b0\u7684\u4e16\u754c\u5716\u666f\uff0c\u8a18\u9304\u8457\u65b0\u4e16\u754c\u7684\u69cb\u5efa\u3002<\/p>

Archie Nash (b. 2001) graduated from the University of Brighton, Fine Art (Painting) 2024.\u00a0Foremostly a painter he documents the building of new worlds through\u00a0a tapestry of found icons, objects and sensations gathered by the observation of culture from the outside in.<\/p>

\u7121\u8ad6\u662f\u9060\u884c\u9084\u662f\u8fd1\u8655\u7684\u65c5\u884c\uff0c\u500b\u4eba\u7d93\u6b77\u90fd\u5728\u4ed6\u7684\u4f5c\u54c1\u4e2d\u5f97\u4ee5\u4fdd\u7559\u3002\u5f9e\u5361\u901a\u81c9\u9f90\u4e2d\u63d0\u53d6\u7684\u4e00\u689d\u7dda\u689d\uff0c\u6216\u662f\u5f9e\u6e9d\u69fd\u88e1\u64bf\u5230\u7684\u540d\u7247\u4e0a\u7684\u88dd\u98fe\u908a\u6846\uff0c\u8207\u300c\u5077\u300d\u4f86\u7684\u8272\u5f69\u9818\u57df\u548c\u5716\u6848\u4ea4\u7e54\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\uff0c\u878d\u5408\u6210\u4e00\u500b\u5145\u6eff\u53c3\u8003\u6750\u6599\u7684\u6fc3\u7a20\u6df7\u5408\u7269\u3002<\/p>

Personal references retained through travelling, both far from home and on the doorstep reveal themselves in the work. A line taken from a cartoon face, or the decorative border of a business card from the gutter, tread amongst colour fields and patterns stolen by looking, coalescing into a soupy mixture of reference matter.<\/p>

\u526a\u8cbc\u7c3f\u662f\u4ed6\u65e5\u5e38\u5275\u4f5c\u7684\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\u3002\u6bcf\u4e00\u672c\u66f8\u90fd\u662f\u624b\u5de5\u88fd\u4f5c\u3001\u88dd\u8a02\u4e26\u586b\u5145\uff0c\u4f5c\u70ba\u4e00\u6bb5\u6642\u9593\u7684\u5716\u50cf\u65e5\u8a18\u3002\u5b83\u6210\u70ba\u4e00\u500b\u5275\u610f\u7d22\u5f15\uff0c\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728\u5de5\u4f5c\u5ba4\u8207\u5916\u90e8\u4e16\u754c\u4e4b\u9593\u8f49\u63db\u6642\u88ab\u63d0\u53d6\u4e26\u91cd\u65b0\u878d\u5165\u3002<\/p>

Scrapbooking is a daily part of his practice. Each book hand-made, bound and filled as an iconographic diary for chapters of time. It becomes a rolodex of ideas which can be plucked and re-entered as they translate between the studio and the outside world.<\/p>

\u6bcf\u4e00\u5c64\u91cd\u65b0\u8655\u7406\u904e\u7684\u591a\u5c64\u8868\u9762\u90fd\u860a\u542b\u8457\u5206\u5c64\u7684\u6642\u9593\uff0c\u4e26\u5448\u73fe\u51fa\u4e00\u5e45\u62fc\u6e4a\u800c\u6210\u7684\u8208\u8da3\u6b77\u53f2\u3002\u9019\u4e9b\u6642\u523b\u4ee5\u5f62\u5f0f\u3001\u8272\u5f69\u548c\u5de5\u4f5c\u5ba4\u5ee2\u6599\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\u88ab\u8ffd\u8e64\uff0c\u901a\u904e\u7e6a\u756b\u3001\u62fc\u8cbc\u6216\u6563\u843d\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u878d\u5165\u8907\u5408\u5716\u50cf\u4e2d\u3002\u5b83\u5011\u662f\u81e8\u6642\u7684\u3001\u5306\u5fd9\u7684\uff0c\u5145\u6eff\u4e86\u96f6\u788e\u7684\u7d30\u7bc0\u3002\u7e6a\u756b\u65e2\u662f\u8b0a\u8a00\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u771f\u76f8\uff0c\u662f\u8996\u89ba\u7684\u865b\u69cb\u8207\u771f\u5be6\u3002<\/p>

Each reworked, multi-layered surface contains stratified time and offers a patch-worked\u00a0history of interests. Moments tracked in the forms, colours and studio trash painted, pasted or littered into composite pictures. Provisional and posthaste. Nuts and bolts. \u5728\u5341\u65b9\u85dd\u8853\u4e2d\u5fc3\u99d0\u7559\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u6211\u8a08\u5283\u4ee5\u91cd\u6176\u9019\u5ea7\u57ce\u5e02\u70ba\u9748\u611f\u9032\u884c\u5275\u4f5c\u3002\u9019\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u4f5c\u54c1\u5c07\u901a\u904e\u7e6a\u756b\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\uff0c\u63a2\u8a0e\u8d85\u8d8a\u6587\u5316\u3001\u53e3\u8a9e\u548c\u66f8\u9762\u8a9e\u8a00\u969c\u7919\u7684\u570b\u969b\u5716\u50cf\u8a9e\u8a00\u3002\u6211\u9810\u8a08\u9019\u9805\u63a2\u7d22\u5c07\u4ee5\u526a\u8cbc\u7c3f\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\u5448\u73fe\uff0c\u4f7f\u7528\u641c\u96c6\u5230\u7684\u548c\u65e5\u8a18\u5f0f\u7684\u5716\u50cf\u4f86\u88fd\u4f5c\uff0c\u9019\u4e9b\u526a\u8cbc\u7c3f\u4e0d\u50c5\u53ef\u4ee5\u4f5c\u70ba\u4e00\u7a2e\u7d22\u5f15\uff0c\u9084\u80fd\u8cea\u7591\u5716\u50cf\u5728\u8a18\u61b6\u5f62\u6210\u4e2d\u7684\u89d2\u8272\u3002<\/p>

\u8de8\u6587\u5316\u5c0d\u8a71\u5c0d\u6211\u7684\u85dd\u8853\u5be6\u8e10\u5177\u6709\u7279\u5225\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u610f\u7fa9\u3002\u6211\u8a08\u5283\u958b\u59cb\u7e6a\u88fd\u5716\u6a19\u8207\u7269\u9ad4\u7db2\u7d61\u7684\u5730\u5716\uff0c\u9019\u4e9b\u7db2\u7d61\u5b58\u5728\u65bc\u6211\u539f\u751f\u6b50\u6d32\u6587\u5316\u8a18\u61b6\u8207\u5728\u4e2d\u570b\u65b0\u6587\u5316\u6c89\u6d78\u4e4b\u9593\u7684\u4ea4\u532f\u8655\u3002\u9019\u5c07\u4ee5\u7530\u91ce\u8abf\u67e5\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\u5be6\u73fe\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u6536\u96c6\u5716\u50cf\u3001\u9032\u884c\u7e6a\u756b\u8207\u62fc\u8cbc\u5275\u4f5c\uff0c\u4e26\u5728\u91cd\u6176\u53ca\u5468\u908a\u5730\u5340\u9032\u884c\u89c0\u5bdf\uff08\u8f14\u4ee535mm\u651d\u5f71\uff09\u3002\u6211\u5e0c\u671b\u901a\u904e\u85dd\u8853\u5bb6\u8b1b\u5ea7\u3001\u958b\u653e\u5de5\u4f5c\u5ba4\u4ee5\u53ca\u53c3\u8207\u91cd\u6176\u7576\u5730\u85dd\u8853\u5834\u666f\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\uff0c\u8207\u4e3b\u8fa6\u65b9\u9032\u884c\u6587\u5316\u4ea4\u6d41\u3002<\/p>

During my time at DAC, I envision developing work informed by the city. The body of work a painterly examination of international image language that transcends cultural, spoken and\u00a0written language barriers. I expect this exploration to materialise in the form of scrapbooks, made using found and diaristic imagery which can function as an index as well as questioning the role of images in memory making.<\/p>

Collage and scrapbooking hold a direct reference to image, whereas the paintings engender to present a digested version, where all unnecessary information has been filtered out and the idea changed, but the visual essence remains, and a portion of symbolic, or object history is still traceable, even if not overt. A search for the quality that is novel yet communicates a sense of familiarity.<\/p>

Inter-cultural dialogue is of particular importance to my artistic practice. Beginning todevelop maps of the iconographic and object networks that exist between my native\u00a0European heritage and the new cultural immersion to be found in China. This will materialise as field research, collecting images, working on painting, collage, and observation (supported by 35mm photography) in Chongqing, and surrounding areas. I hope to offer cultural exchange to my hosts in the form of artist talks, open studios and engaging with the scene in Chongqing.<\/p><\/section>
