Rose Martin\u2019<\/span>s work gathers comics, edition, painting and sculpture. Currently working on a thesis about \u00ab how we transform houses and cities into mazes \u00bb, their projects develop the feeling of being lost in labyrinthine architectures.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u901a\u904e\u4e00\u7a2e\u8a69\u610f\u7684\u3001\u626d\u66f2\u5982\u8ff7\u5bae\u822c\u7684\u6558\u4e8b\u65b9\u5f0f\uff0c\u4ed6<\/span>\u63a2\u7d22\u4e86\u6642\u9593\u7684\u6d41\u52d5\u6027\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u65e5\u5e38\u5efa\u7bc9\u4e2d\u90a3\u4e9b\u904e\u6e21\u7a7a\u9593\u7684\u5947\u7570\u611f\u53d7\u3002<\/span><\/p>

Through a poetic, twisting and maze-like storytelling, they explore the fluidity of time and the disturbing aspects of liminal spaces in everyday architecture.\u00a0<\/p>

\u6211\u7684\u4f5c\u54c1\u5f88\u53ef\u80fd\u6703\u4ee5\u6f2b\u756b\u7684\u5f62\u5f0f\u5448\u73fe\uff0c\u63a1\u7528\u975e\u7dda\u6027\u6558\u4e8b\uff0c\u8457\u91cd\u63cf\u7e6a\u57ce\u5e02\u666f\u89c0\u548c\u932f\u7d9c\u8907\u96dc\u7684\u5efa\u7bc9\u7fa4\u3002\u6211\u901a\u5e38\u4f7f\u7528\u77f3\u58a8\u925b\u7b46\u548c\u5f69\u8272\u925b\u7b46\u5275\u4f5c\uff0c\u4f46\u5f62\u5f0f\u4e5f\u53ef\u80fd\u8b8a\u5316\u3002\u6211\u559c\u6b61\u5728\u6545\u4e8b\u4e2d\u8b8a\u63db\u8cea\u611f\uff0c\u71df\u9020\u51fa\u74b0\u5883\u4e0d\u65b7\u6f14\u8b8a\u7684\u6c1b\u570d\u3002<\/span><\/p>

\u6211\u9084\u6709\u4e00\u500b\u60f3\u6cd5\uff0c\u662f\u5275\u4f5c\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u63cf\u7e6a\u8ff7\u5bae\u7684\u5de8\u5927\u756b\u4f5c\uff0c\u67d0\u7a2e\u7a0b\u5ea6\u4e0a\u8a18\u9304\u6211\u5728\u91cd\u6176\u8857\u982d\u904a\u8569\u7684\u8096\u50cf\u3002\u4f46\u6211\u6709\u610f\u4e0d\u53bb\u9810\u5148\u7814\u7a76\u9019\u5ea7\u57ce\u5e02\uff0c\u9019\u6a23\u6211\u624d\u80fd\u771f\u6b63\u89aa\u8eab\u9ad4\u9a57\u7576\u5730\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\uff0c\u907f\u514d\u88ab\u4e4b\u524d\u770b\u5230\u6216\u5b78\u5230\u7684\u6771\u897f\u5f71\u97ff\u3002\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u6211\u7684<\/span>\u9805\u76ee<\/span>\u53ef\u80fd\u6703\u6709\u5f88\u5927\u7684\u8b8a\u5316\uff0c\u6211\u5141\u8a31\u81ea\u5df1\u5b8c\u5168\u63a8\u7ffb\u91cd\u4f86\u3002<\/span><\/p>

During my time at DAC, I want to work on a narration that takes place in Chongqing or even puts the city in the front row by being the main character of the story. I want to transform and disturb the urban environment of the city to make it even more labyrinthine than it already is. I would like to make the audience feel the emotions that we experience when we go through a\u201c<\/span>megastructure<\/span>\u201d<\/span>city like Chongqing. This work will fit in my researches for my thesis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

My work will probably take the form of a comic with a non-linear storytelling that focuses on the urban landscapes and the tangled masses of constructions. I usually work with a graphite and coloured pencils but it can evolve. I like to vary the textures in my stories to give the feeling of constant evolution of the environment.<\/span><\/p>

I also have the idea of a series of huge paintings of labyrinths, kind representing a portrait of my wandering in the streets of Chongqing. But I consciously didn<\/span>\u2019<\/span>t do researches on the city so that I could really discover what it is like to live there by myself, and so as to not be influenced by what I saw and learned before I got there. So my projects can really evolve a lot and I give myself permission to completely change everything.<\/span><\/p><\/section><\/section>
