Artist’s Statement<\/strong><\/section>\n
<\/section>\n
\u901a\u5e38\uff0c\u201c\u5782\u76f4\uff08Vertical\uff09\u201d\u9019\u500b\u8a5e\u63cf\u8ff0\u7684\u662f\u5f9e\u6c34\u5e73\u9762\u76f4\u7dda\u4e0a\u5347\u7684\u6771\u897f\u3002 \u7576\u6211\u5011\u770b\u5230\u4e00\u68f5\u6a39\u6642\uff0c\u901a\u5e38\u63cf\u8ff0\u5b83\u8207\u5730\u9762\u5782\u76f4\u76f8\u9023\u3002 \u6a39\u7684\u751f\u9577\u904e\u7a0b\u53ef\u4ee5\u5b9a\u7fa9\u70ba\u5782\u76f4\u751f\u9577\u3002 \u7576\u6211\u4ee5\u4e00\u7a2e\u54f2\u5b78\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u601d\u8003\u6211\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u6642\uff0c\u6211\u89ba\u5f97\u5b83\u4e5f\u5728\u4ee5\u540c\u6a23\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u6210\u9577\uff1a\u5782\u76f4\u751f\u9577\uff08vertical growth\uff09\u3002\u53e6\u4e00\u65b9\u9762\uff0c\u201c\u5782\u76f4\u751f\u9577\u201d\u662f\u5be6\u73fe\u63a8\u52d5\u6211\u5011\u96c4\u5fc3\u62b1\u8ca0\u7684\u904e\u7a0b\uff0c\u5b83\u8868\u9054\u4e86\u7a4d\u6975\u6027\u7684\u589e\u9577\uff0c\u5b9a\u7fa9\u4e86\u6211\u5011\u7684\u9ad8\u5c1a\u548c\u7a4d\u6975\u7684\u601d\u7dad\uff0c\u6211\u53ef\u4ee5\u8aaa\u9019\u662f\u4e00\u500b\u4eba\u985e\u6210\u9577\u7684\u904e\u7a0b\u3002\u5728\u9019\u6b21\u5c55\u89bd\u4e2d\uff0c\u6211\u5c55\u51fa\u4e86\u6211\u7684\u56db\u500b\u7cfb\u5217\u7684\u4f5c\u54c1\uff0c\u5b83\u5011\u5f7c\u6b64\u4e0d\u540c\uff0c\u4f46\u540c\u6642\u53c8\u76f8\u4e92\u95dc\u806f\u3002 \u5728\u6211\u7684\u85dd\u8853\u5be6\u8e10\u4e2d\uff0c\u201c\u5782\u76f4\u751f\u9577\u201d\u95e1\u91cb\u4e86\u4e00\u6bb5\u65c5\u7a0b\uff0c\u800c\u975e\u76ee\u7684\u5730\u3002 \u5b83\u5b9a\u7fa9\u4e86\u6211\u5011\u7684\u7a4d\u6975\u548c\u9ad8\u5c1a\u7684\u601d\u60f3\uff0c\u4e26\u901a\u904e\u85dd\u8853\u7684\u5a92\u4ecb\u7d66\u6211\u5011\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u5e36\u4f86\u5e0c\u671b\uff0c\u4f7f\u6211\u5011\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u66f4\u52a0\u7f8e\u597d\u3002Usually, the word Vertical describes something that rises straight up from a horizontal line or plane. As, when we see a tree usually describes as vertical in relation to the ground. The process of growing a tree can be defined as vertical growth. In a philosophical way, when I think about my life, I feel it is growing in the same way: vertical growth.<\/p>\n

On the other way, Vertical Growth is the process of achieving and pushing ourselves and our ambition, and it explains the growth of positivity. Vertical growth defines our high and positive thinking, and I can say it is a process of growth of human beings.<\/p>\n

In this exhibition, I have presented four series of my artworks, which are different from each other but at the same time, they are interconnected and correlated with each other. In the context of my art practice; Vertical Growth explains the process of a journey, not the destination. It defines our positive and high thinking and gives hope to make our life more beautiful through the medium of arts.<\/p>\n

\u53e4\u5df4\u5854\u7684\u4f5c\u54c1\u4e00\u76f4\u5177\u6709\u5be6\u9a57\u6027\uff0c\u5f9e\u5e73\u51e1\u5230\u975e\u51e1\u7684\u65c5\u7a0b\u4e2d\u5145\u6eff\u4e86\u9023\u7e8c\u6027\u3002\u4ed6\u7684\u8996\u91ce\u59cb\u7d42\u5728\u4f5c\u54c1\u7684\u9802\u7aef\uff0c\u76f8\u4e92\u95dc\u806f\u767c\u63ee\u8457\u91cd\u8981\u4f5c\u7528\uff0c\u901a\u904e\u4e0d\u540c\u6982\u5ff5\u7684\u878d\u5408\u5c55\u73fe\u51fa\u6587\u5316\u7684\u5370\u8a18\u3002\u4ed6\u7684\u300c\u7dda\u689d\u8207\u7a7a\u9593\u300d\u7cfb\u5217\u4f5c\u54c1\u662f\u4ed6\u63a2\u7d22\u548c\u7126\u616e\u7684\u5b8c\u7f8e\u4f8b\u8b49\u3002<\/section>\n

Shatrudhan K (IN) did his Bachelor & Master degrees in fine arts from the \u2018College of Arts and Crafts, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lucknow\u2019, India, and followed by two years \u2018Senior Scholar Research Program\u2019 at the China Academy of Art, Hangzhou, China.\u00a0 Currently, he is a research scholar (PhD) at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai University, Shanghai, China.<\/section>\n
With a mastery in diverse mediums; paintings, drawings, ceramics, installation, mixed media, and fine expressions through colors, forms, textures, and space division. Every bit and piece of work is\u00a0enjoyed by him and a great assimilation\u00a0of mastery and innovation can be witnessed in his works through his continuous\u00a0research and implementations. Being novel in the creation is a vital piece of his work. Besides being an artist, he affirms believers in the values of emotion\u00a0and empathy, acting as a driver in creative processes by not only opening doors for budding thoughts but also in the absorption of new elements.<\/section>\n

The Line is an element of art that refers to a mark or impression made by a point moving in space or on a surface. A Line can be of different types such as vertical, horizontal, diagonal, curved, straight, thick, thin, dotted, controlled, freehand, etc. The Line defines a space, movement, contour, or illusion of mass or volume. \u00a0In this series of works, I have tried to explore and deal with Lines and Space, and it begins with just a simple dot and then dots in space that transforms into Lines. The Lines that appear in these works are created in a very disciplined and controlled way. On the other hand, these works are the representation of mental meditation every day from 10 am to 01 pm during time in my studio. For creating these works, I have used very basic and available materials; pen ink, graphite pencil, watercolor & paper. I can say that the whole art process of these works it\u2019s like a meditative process for me.<\/section>\n
