I believe we curators are not simply mediators, and our job is not simply displaying. I believe delivering the philosophies from the artists and interpretation from us is our duty, not only make the exhibitions narratively but also understandable. In the situationism typified by Gaston Bachelard and Yifu Tuan, place and space holds and shape peoples’ experiences, memories, identities, behaviors, philosophies, and morals, which made me so interested in public space and communities. I and the DAC shared the same opinion on interacting with society in interdisciplinary approaches. Therefore, I would like to keep my exhibitions simple to the audience, while philosophical to both the artists and curators, to reduce the impression of separation between people and art. I wish to explore, experience, and experiment during my residency, re-feel, re-examine, and re-think how time and space shaped us as humans, then make a project that reveals my findings, ideas, and answers.
